That was the spirit of Jenni Kayne Southampton's recent third anniversary celebration, where Urban Pour Tastings was honored to provide a curated wine tasting experience for guests throughout the afternoon.
Guests arrived to find a tasting station tucked beneath a shade umbrella, glasses catching the afternoon light and the kind of unhurried atmosphere that makes a Jenni Kayne space feel less like a store and more like a dear friend’s beautifully appointed home. Over the course of the day, they wandered the signature collection, glass in hand and let the afternoon unfold at its own gentle pace.
We explored the regions and producers behind every bottle, compared notes on what landed on the palate and watched more than a few guests stumble happily onto a new favorite along the way.
If there’s one thing I love most about hosting these events, it’s making wine feel approachable. You don’t need to know your tannins from your terroir to fall for a great glass. Whether you’re a longtime collector or simply curious, a guided tasting is really just permission to ask questions, follow your palate, and enjoy the ride, no pretense required.
Wine Education, Beyond the Tasting Room
Some of the most memorable wine experiences happen nowhere near a vineyard. They happen in the unexpected places where people naturally gather and let their guard down a little.
The intimate courtyard at Jenni Kayne Southampton turned out to be the perfect classroom, though it never once felt like one. Between conversations about grape varieties, winemaking and which bottles play best with which dishes, the afternoon offered a little something for every kind of wine lover, from the merely curious to the genuinely obsessed.

Clear summer skies, that signature relaxed-luxury aesthetic, and an outdoor space designed for lingering, the courtyard did half the work for us. It reflected the quiet, effortless elegance that has become synonymous with the Jenni Kayne name, and it gave guests every reason to stay a while: to explore, to connect and to raise a glass.
